Q&A with Recruiter HAILEY BUNNELL

Q: What would you say is the most rewarding thing about being a HealthCare Support recruiter?

A: The most rewarding thing about being a recruiter is knowing that I can connect facilities with skilled clinicians who contribute to the overall improvement of the facility and patient care.

Q: What type(s) of service or support do you offer to candidates/new hires that most people wouldn’t think a recruiter would provide?

A: As a recruiter, I want my candidates to know that I am here to help them advance their careers, to map out what that path can look like, and show them how we can get there. It isn’t just about filling an open role. I want to ensure that the job is right for the candidate because it aligns with and supports their personal and professional goals.

Q: What’s an inspiring, compassionate, or funny story you’ve heard from one of your candidates providing care in the field?

A: I specialize in recruiting Dialysis RNs and Technicians, and most of my clinicians see the same patients multiple times a week, allowing them to build an amazing rapport. I have one traveler who will be returning to a facility she previously worked at; her former manager reached out and asked her to come back because all of her patients missed her.

Q: What are some tips you have for job candidates to give them the best chance of being selected for a role they are interested in?

A: My biggest tip for job seekers is to take the time to map out what you’re looking for, dig deep, and look at what locations, pay ranges, and shifts would really work for you. It’s also important to find a recruiter with whom you work well and trust so that the process from application to working is seamless.

Q: Do you have any great advice you give to candidates to prepare them for their new travel assignment/permanent position?

A: I primarily staff within the travel healthcare world, so I always tell my candidates to research the areas in which they’re most interested. That way, when they are looking for housing or packing for their trip, they feel prepared.

Q: As an expert in your role as a recruiter, how does the HealthCare Support experience stand out in a crowd?

A: At HealthCare Support, we’re a community of hardworking people who want to see our clinicians succeed. We aren’t just filling jobs; we’re helping clinicians further their careers. We have experts in every career path that we staff who can provide guidance and advice. We go the extra mile to ensure the candidate’s experience is amazing, from the first phone call to the first day on the job, and beyond.
