A/R Insurance Rep

The A/R Insurance Rep will work with patients, insurance companies, and other third party payers to ensure accurate and timely payments for each patient’s account. The ideal candidate will be a great multitasker as they will also work with patients professionally to understand their account details; provide an accurate and timely response if there is any concern,; and provide a resolution if needed.

Job Duties:

  • Generate patient statements daily
  • Handle patient concerns and provide resolutions
  • Ensure accurate payments to patient’s accounts by insurance companies or other payers
  • Meeting collection goals and metrics
  • Provide any needed reimbursements to appropriate payers
  • Maintains confidentiality for patient accounts and the financial affairs of the healthcare facility

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical office
  • Knowledge of payment and collection systems in the medical field
  • Knowledge of computer use and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to think critically and work in a fast paced, every changing environment
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
