Medicare Collections Manager

Daily Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be overseeing daily operations for a team of approximately 10 fulltime Medicare-specific insurance collections specialists (entails Medicare primary, secondary, and supplemental billing). This manager will set time-specific departmental goals and objectives. The ideal leader can guide the team with training, positive feedback, and encouragement, rather than penalties and disciplinary actions. This role does require both intermediate starting experience with Microsoft Word & Excel and some previous management experience of staff. Hours for this Position: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Required Skills
What We Look For:
- 2+ RECENT years of supervisory experience in a medical billing or insurance follow-up setting
- 4+ RECENT years of experience in Medicare-specific billing or follow-up
- Strong leadership skills with reflective written/verbal communication
- Knowledge of RAC, ADR’s, and other Medicare audits
- Knowledge of Credit Balance Reporting and Cost Reporting processes
Preferred, but NOT required:
- Associates or Bachelors degree
- Revenue Cycle certification through AAHAM or HFMA
