Position Summary:

Daily Responsibilities:

In this role, we are seeking 2+ RECENT years of experience performing coding and auditing of patient charts. Special preference will be given to those with a background in outpatient or ambulatory surgery coding. You would be responsible for reading physician documentation to identify accurate diagnosis/procedure, requiring procedural code assignment. Op notes will be received and reconciled daily via email, fax, and online portals. Qualified candidates in this role may assist with billing questions and address client concerns in a timely, professional manner.

Hours for this Position: Monday-Friday / 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, IN-OFFICE! Remote is not an option at this time.

Required Skills

What We Look For:

• 2+ years of RECENT medical coding experience (preference given to outpatient / ambulatory surgery backgrounds)
• Current, active CPC / CCS / RHIA / RHIT certifications. Any will be accepted, but apprenticeships will not be considered (e.g. CPC-A)
• Excellent verbal communicator for answering billing inquiries and client concerns
• Excellent computer skills with emphasis on use of Excel spreadsheets and specialized billing softwares
• High School Diploma or GED minimum; Further education is preferred.

Based on years of experience and relevancy of knowledge with claims. Approximately $45-55k+ and open to more for the right fit!
