Optical (Optometric) Technician
HealthCare Support is actively seeking an Optical (Optometric) Technician to fill in an opening Seminole, Florida.
Pay Details: $ 15 to $23 per hour
Shift Details: Monday – Friday 7:45 AM to 5:30 PM
Daily Responsibilities for Optical (Optometric) Technician:
- Collecting and recording patient medical history
- Instructing patients on post-operative care, medication use, contact lens care and exam expectations.
- Performing visual acuity testing, auto and Manifest Refractions (measurements for the glasses prescription), tonometry (measuring eye pressure)
Required Qualifications for Optical (Optometric) Technician:
- HS Diploma/GED
- 1+ year experience as an Op Tech
- Must be able to refract.
Preferred Qualifications for Optical (Optometric) Technician:
- Vision experience
- Certification of Certification through JCAHPO
- Associate’s degree – preferred
