UM Behavioral Health Clinician – LMHC / LICSW / LMFT
HealthCare Support is actively seeking a UM Behavioral Health Clinician – LMHC / LICSW / LMFT to fill a remote opening in Washington with a Managed Care Organization.
Daily Responsibilities for Care Coordinator:
- The Behavioral Health Clinician will provide support to the Utilization Management (UM) team by performing Transition of Care (TOC) assessments and conducting authorization reviews for behavioral health services. The clinician will ensure timely and accurate evaluations of member needs, care coordination, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct review of hospital notification or prior authorization care requests against established clinical guidelines and health plan policies.
- Collaborate with facilities to perform discharge planning.
- Provide coordination support to members transitioning between care settings or returning home from hospitalization.
- Identifies member needs and provides support to ensure necessary services are available during the transition period.
- Collaborates with providers, office staff, and Care Coordination team to assure coordination of care in a timely manner according to contractual and regulatory timeframes.
- Shift: 8a-5p PST, Mon-Fri
- Remote in WA, or in PST if they have WA license
Required Qualifications for Referral Specialist:
- Clear and active LMHC, LICSW or LMFT license in state of WA, can be an RN if they have a specialization/certification in psychiatric/mental health
- At least 3 years of experience in behavioral health; with emphasis in transition of care, discharge planning, or case management experience
- Experience in conducting utilization reviews and making authorization determinations
- Strong understanding of care transitions and regulatory requirements in behavioral health.
- Masters degree

Pay Details: $45/hour – $55/hour, depending on experience and licensure
