Remote Referral Specialist

HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Remote Referral Specialist to fill an opening with a Fortune top 25 Managed Care Company in Texas. This role is fully remote, but you MUST live in Texas.

Length: 3 months, potential to extend and convert based on performance and openings
Availability: Candidates must have open availability Monday to Saturday 7am to 6pm.
Work schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 7 am to 6 pm, and Saturdays 8am to 5pm

Daily Responsibilities for Remote Referral Specialist:

• Assist in monitoring utilization of medical services to assure cost effective use of medical resources through processing prior authorizations.
• Route to appropriate staff when needed.
• Verify eligibility and benefits
• Process faxes within established standards, follow up outbound calls (can answer phone queue occasionally)

Required Qualifications for Remote Referral Specialist:

• Private room and internet to work remotely
• HS Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of recent healthcare call center experience
• Good at multitasking and data entry (banking experience also seems to transfer well)
• Medicaid knowledge
• Excel and Typing speed 40+ WPM – please include typing speed on resume
• Familiar with Word, Excel, Outlook. Must be computer savvy as they will be setting up their equipment to start – ability to troubleshoot minor issues.

Pay Details: $17 – $19 an hour
