HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Patient Registration Rep to fill an opening with a Prestigious Healthcare Company in Irwin Pennsylvania.

Daily Responsibilities for Patient Registration Rep:
Shift: Mon- Friday 6-6pm and Saturdays 6-430. No steady shift (will work 40 hours per week)
*must be flexible for any scheduled shift during these times.  Will receive a schedule in advance but schedule can vary week to week. Cannot have restrictions
 

Summary

  • The Patient Service Representative is responsible for coordinating and maintaining a positive customer experience while performing pre-registration, registration, scheduling, and business office functions.
     
  • Primary Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient demographic information and update system
  • Collect signatures on required forms
  • Calculate and collect payments
  • Schedules patient appointments utilizing scheduling software tools
  • Provides testing instructions to assure smooth services
  • Secures authorization and referral if applicable
  • Greets the customer in a polite and professional manner whether face – to – face or on the phone
  • Responds to customer issues and considers customer in all decision-making processes to ensure a positive experience

Hospital has a no smoking policy – this includes on property or on breaks. Employees cannot come back to work smelling like smoke

Good attendance is a MUST. Hospital needs candidates who are reliable 

Start Date: ASAP (onboarding takes 2-3 weeks) *contract to hire

3 month contract to hire

Required Qualifications for Patient Registration Rep:

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of healthcare admin or customer service experience. Strongly prefer registration experience at hospital, urgent care, or physician office 
  • Comfortable working in medical facility
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Be able to interact in a friendly, professional manner with a wide range of patients, operations staff, physicians, and other departments
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to be on feet and moving around

Pay Details: $18.12/hour
