Ophthalmic Technician
HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Ophthalmic Technician to fill an opening in Seminole, Florida.
Pay Details: $ 15 to $ 23 per hour
Shift Details: Monday Friday 7:45 am to 5:30 PM.
Daily Responsibilities for Ophthalmic Technician:
- Collecting and recording patient medical history
- Instructing patients on post-operative care, medication use, contact lens care and exam expectations.
- Performing visual acuity testing, auto and Manifest Refractions (measurements for the glasses prescription), tonometry (measuring eye pressure)
Required Qualifications for Ophthalmic Technician:
- HS Diploma/GED
- 1+ year experience as an Op Tech
- Must be able to refract – please ask about auto AND manual refraction and add to resume. They WILL let them go immediately if they do not have the refraction experience.
Preferred Requirements for Ophthalmic Technician:
- Vision experience
- Certification o Certification through JCAHPO
- Associates Degree – preferred
