Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to fill an opening with a not for profit provider based in the Rockford, Illinois area.
Daily Responsibilities for Mental Health Nurse Practitioner:
- Oversees medical treatment for clients with psychiatric and substance use disorders through assessment and medication management.
- Ensures continuity of care in an ethical, legal, and safe therapeutic environment, meeting regulatory standards.
- Collaborates with the treatment team to support clients and their families in daily recovery
- Mon-Fri: 8:30am – 5pm
Required Qualifications for Mental Health Nurse Practitioner:
- Advance Practice Nurse with demonstrated experience in Psychiatric Practice Across the Lifespan and/or Family/Internal Medicine and Addictions Treatment or a related field
- Board Certified Psychiatry and/or Family/Internal Medicine
- Demonstrated clinical competency in admission and discharge, assessment, treatment planning, biopsychosocial management and aftercare planning
- Demonstrated clinical competency in applying the current versions of the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and the ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) Placement Criteria.
- Proven ability and preferably experience in actively participating in and leading multidisciplinary teams focused on promoting recovery
Preferred Qualifications for Mental Health Nurse Practitioner:
- DEA License
- Preference for American Board of Addiction (ABAM) Certification, American Board of Preventative Medicine (ABPM) certification, or Certified Addiction Registered Nurse (CARN-AP)

Pay Details: $110k-$120k+, Psychiatric NP start at $128k
