Medical Assistant
HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Medical Assistant to fill an opening with a large healthcare organization in Lake Success, NY.
Daily Responsibilities for Medical Assistant:
- Work directly with the provider in the exam rooms, assist with procedures and office notes.
- Clean exam rooms after a patients visit is complete and prepare it for the next patient.
- Rooming patients – bring patients into the rooms taking information pertaining to the office visit and preparing them for the provider to enter the room.
- Clean and autoclave instruments.
- Assist with medical and pharmacy prior authorizations.
Shift: Shifts vary, hours can start as early as 7:30am and go until 7:00pm. Days are scheduled based on provider and are standard days (7.5-8.5 hour days)
Work days per week: 5
Dress code/scrub color: Navy blue scrubs
Is travel required for this role?
Possible travel to 2 other locations. Bethpage and Syosset
If yes, when and how often? Fill in only if staff is not in.
Will they travel to more than one location within a work shift? No
Required Qualifications for Medical Assistant:
- Medical Assistant experience
Preferred Qualifications for Medical Assistant:
- EMR, especially EPIC knowledge
- Dermatology knowledge
- Able to keep providers on schedule in a fast-paced office

Pay Details: $23.00 per hour – $25.00 per hour
