HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to fill an opening with a Fortune 100 major Healthcare organization in Bristol, Connecticut.
Daily Responsibilities for Certified Medical Assistant:
- Provide patient care, clinical summary and direction on next steps or follow up
- Perform phlebotomy for patients as needed
- Act as a member of the care team, including preparing patients to be seen by collecting and recording clinical information as per protocol
- Schedule tests, treatments and follow up visits on behalf of patients; assist patients with identifying suitable outside resources for disease management and other services; refer patients when appropriate
- Answer and document patient phone calls; take complete messages and route to provider as needed using the EHR – EPIC
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm

Is travel required for this role? Yes
If yes, when and how often? Between the two sites as coverage is needed
Will they travel to more than one location within a work shift? Possibly between the two sites
Required Qualifications for Certified Medical Assistant:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of Accredited Medical Assistant program
- Certified Medical Assistant
- 1+ years of MA experience in a primary care setting
- Experience working with Epic

Pay Details: $23.00 – $24.00/Hour
