Required Experience/Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree typically required. Master’s Degree a plus
 - PHR/CHHR or other applicable certification preferred
 - Minimum of 3 years prior work experience in the field
 - Knowledge of healthcare staffing needs and the health field environment
 - Service-oriented
 - Analytical skills
 - Exemplary communication skills
 - Above average negotiation skills
 - Strong writing skills
 - Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
 - Experience with HR software and technology preferred
 - Professional flexibility and adaptability
 - Self-starter with strong motivational skills
 - In-depth knowledge of applicable local, state and federal employment laws
 - Advanced knowledge of employee relations, compensation practices, performance management, diversity best practices
 - Record of success in the field with demonstrative and measurable accomplishments is a bonus
 - Legal status to work in the U.S. required
 
Job Responsibilities
- Work with a team of HR professionals to enhance employee satisfaction and productivity
 - Provide recruitment and hiring practices guidance to ensure adherence to the laws and best practices
 - Provide HR guidance, support and process knowledge to supervisors and employees
 - Day-to-day performance management guidance to management — to include counseling, training, coaching, career development and disciplinary actions
 - Assist management with morale and team building, employee retention efforts, and strategies to enhance productivity
 - Help build positive relationships between management and staff
 - Promote beneficial employee relations
 - Assume the role of a trusted advisor
 - Apply a solutions-oriented method to conflict resolutions and problem solving
 - Mediate employee disputes
 - Address disciplinary issues
 - May need to supervise support staff
