HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Pharmacistto fill an opening in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Pay Details: $64.42 per hour
Shift Details: Monday – Friday 9am-6pm. 10am-7pm, or 11am-8pm (No weekend, no on call)
Daily Responsibilities for Pharmacist:
- Accepting and dispensing prescriptions, monitoring patient adherence and potential overuse, ensuring medication supply complies within the law, and verifying that prescribed medicines are appropriate for patients.
- Accurately maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files, advise patients on medication usage, side effects, and answer questions, provide consultations on prescription and non-prescription medications for storage, dosage, and interactions, and offer health services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
- Educate patients on proper handling of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters, compound medications for external or internal use, prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures, supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks, and maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
Required Qualifications for Pharmacist:
- TN Pharmacists licensed required
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
- Licensed by the state pharmacy board.
