HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Patient Registration Rep to fill an opening with a Fortune 500 company in Owensboro, KY.
Daily Responsibilities for Patient Registration Rep:
- Coordinate patient workflow to reduce wait times.
- Assist patient with intake processes.
- Confirm eligibility and verifies insurance benefits.
- Ensure all demographic and billing information is obtained for patients.
- Enter demographic information onto the computer system.
- Schedule appointment using computerized scheduling programs.
- Explain financial responsibilities for services received, payment options, and collection procedures to patients and / or parties responsible for payment.
- Counsel patients regarding insurance benefits and recommends alternative sources of payment and / or financial assistance when appropriate.
- Accepts payments and co – pays.
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies, external agencies, patients, physicians, and team members.
- 40 hours per week between 3pm – 11:30pm CST with rotating weekends
Required Qualifications for Patient Registration Rep:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ year of Customer Service experience
- Working knowledge with medical office procedures and medical terminology
- Flexibility with schedule

Pay Details: $17.50 an hour
