Healthcare Support Staffing, Inc. began as two-person office in September 2002 in Maitland, FL, and has grown dynamically, specializing in the permanent placement of non-clinical and clinical healthcare staff positions. The company’s 35 employees recently moved into 1800 Pembrook Drive, Suite 100, in Orlando, into headquarters that are more than triple the size of its previous Maitland location.

In addition, Healthcare Support Staffing, Inc. growing list of clients led the company to move into the South Florida market in July of 2004 by opening a new office in Ft. Lauderdale, where the company currently plans to move into larger quarters later this spring. Finally, Healthcare Support Staffing, Inc., opened a National Division in August of 2005 that specializes in the permanent placement of pharmacists, nurse-case managers, respiratory therapists and other clinical positions on a nationwide basis.

Launched in September 2002 by founder and Chief Executive Officer Don Langmo, Healthcare Support Staffing, Inc., was established after another company he founded, Custom Staffing, Inc., began getting more client requests for healthcare employees for both “front office” and clinical positions.

With annual earnings in 2005 of $14 million, Langmo credits the company’s explosive growth to its laser-like focus on filling the permanent staffing needs of healthcare providers. In contrast, he said many traditional employment agencies are ill-equipped to handle the needs for highly qualified employees in “front office” or clinical positions.

“We’re specialized and we’re focused exclusively on the healthcare market,” said Langmo. “We’re successful because our focus is on permanent placement. There are a few people out there who want to be a ‘temp’ forever, but most people want that permanent full-time position and they know that’s what we exclusively provide. That’s really allowed us to recruit more effectively than our competitors.”

Specifically, the company recruits non-clinical and clinical staff members for hospitals, physicians’ practices, pharmacies and other companies, including office managers, billers, client service representatives, medical secretaries and transcriptionists, insurance specialists, case managers and registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, medical assistants and pharmacists.

Healthcare Support Staffing Inc. has assembled a portfolio of national and Florida healthcare clients, including: American Cancer Society, Ameripath, Rotech Healthcare Inc., Cancer Center of Florida, CuraScript Pharmacy Inc., Physician’s Associates, Priority Healthcare Corporation (recently acquired by Express Scripts); Boca Raton Community Hospital and South Broward Cardiology Consultants, among others.
